Hand dyed, hand printed silk form the basis of this circular scarf. I hand dye and print the silks in my Schoolhouse studio in Mississippi. I then shred the silk fabric and sew them to a silk tape fabric creating a “yard” that I then handknit along with a fine wool yarn. The results are a nearly weightless scarf that frames the face and keeps you warm without the weight and itchiness of wool. Each piece is unique.
